Red Ribbon Week October 23-27

Monday-Wear RED to launch Red Ribbon Week!

Tuesday-Get educated about the the effects of drugs. Wear a T-Shirt representing the college you want to attend.

Wednesday-Avoid drugs to ensure a bright future! Dress for your future career.

Thursday-Score by setting goals for the future. Wear sports attire.

Friday- Team up against drugs and wear your spirit gear!

JES Annual Halloween Parade October 31st

Parents are invited to attend the Halloween Parade slated to begin at 8:00 Tuesday morning. Costumes should be age appropriate, no weapons are allowed, no scary or gory costumes, and no face paint or colored hair.

Students should wear school clothes under their costume or bring clothes to change into following the parade.

Students will ride the bus or be dropped off at school on Monday morning and go the class as usual. Parents will line the perimeter of the parking lot loop at the front of the school to view the parade weather permitting.

Picture Retakes Thursday, November 9th

If you would like your child's school picture retaken, please send the original packet to school with your child on November 9th.

Parents of new students and students who were absent on picture day that would like to purchase pictures, please send the order envelope and money to school with your child. The order packets will be sent home with your child a few days prior to picture day.Note: Your student's picture will be taken, regardless of whether a packet is purchased, for the school yearbook.

Photos will be taken beginning at 8:00, so it is important that you send your child to school with either the original packet for retakes or the new order form for children having their picture taken for the first time.

Literacy Night November 14th

Join the fun at Camp Read-A-Lot Literacy Night. A hot dog supper will be served at 5:30-6:00 compliments of our PTO. Literacy night activities begin at 6:00 and end at 7:30. Remember to stop by the Scholastic Book Fair in the library. Come join the fun!

Scholastic Book Fair November 13th-16th

Great opportunity to stock your child's home library with their favorite books. and check out teacher's wish lists for their classroom! The library will open every morning at 7:10 as well as being open until 7:30 on Literacy Night.
